world 2 is a desert level, but don't get it twisted. sure, a lot of games tend to fall back on desert levels for their second worlds, but i think Jumping Flash! brings enough fun flavor to its environments that it gets a pass from me.
world 2 introduces these plant enemies, and if there's any bone i have to pick with this game, it's about these guys. they shoot seeds at you that move relatively fast, which doesn't seem like a big deal at first. this becomes an issue, however, when you realize there are no strafe buttons in Jumping Flash!, and your only option is to either steer yourself to the side and walk forwards, or jump over the seeds. (which becomes impossible in the later, more cramped levels. more on that in 2-2.) besides that, the only other new enemy is these tall quadruped guys, and all i've got to say about em is that i like how they look.
gotta say, i've always been a big pyramid fan. something about 'em just tickles my brain, they just look so... cool. i especially love the floating ones here, those are super neat.
nothing will ever live up to the Bass Pro Shop Ziggurat in Memphis, Tennessee, though.
lookin' good, my man. rock on.
looks like whatever ancient civilization that lived here loved CBS.
again with the floating rock structures, this time it's Stonehenge instead. still though, i kinda love it.
and that's 2-1. see? i told you it'd be more interesting than your average desert level.
